Recruiters have to deal with a lot of badly structured and formatted resumes. Some of them don’t even deserve to be placed in front of the recruiters. They usually spend just 6 seconds to scan resumes and if your resume isn’t appealing enough, then it can be thrown in the rejected list. You may be busy or feel like the interview was lousy, but it’s still your responsibility to let the recruiter know how it went. The lack of follow up may indicate that you are not interested in the job or maybe you are too casual in your approach. In either case, you will end up losing a good opportunity in the process. Make sure that you stay in touch with the recruiter till a feedback is shared with you. Remember, it is good to follow up, but don’t cross the fine line and go on a mad calling spree.
